Happy Thanksgiving
A very Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends and family. I pray that the day is bringing lots of food and joy to all of you. This will probably be a short post, I mainly wanted to be able to share a few photos of my poor little Roscoe and his injuries. Roscoe is the smallest of our three dogs, a couple of weeks ago he got attacked my my mother-in-law's outside dog, Toby. Toby is unfortunatley no longer with us, he was an american bull dog-boxer mix whose demeanor had changed turning him into an untrustworthy animal. It was a sad decision but Toby had to be put down, and my little Roscoe is thankfully still with us after the vicious attack. He obtained a few fractured ribs, a puncture wound on one side and a fairly deep gash on the other. The puncture wound side wasn't healing properly and started to develop fluid around it with no way of draining. So, we made another trip to the vet where they put in a drain that he has to keep in for the next week. Along with the drain he has to wear a cone around his neck that prevents him from bothering the drain. It's hard not to laugh when you look at him even though he is very pitiful.
So far on this very chilly Thanksgiving day we have enjoyed a hearty breakfast of Biscuits, deer sausage ( homemade from my dad), eggs, and bacon. YUMMY!!! I am so blessed that David is able to be home today, he'll be leaving to go back out on the road early in the morning. He has been able to be home since Monday night, even though this home time has not been as pleasurable for him since he had to have intense dental work done yesterday. Right now he's not showing any signs of not being able to eat so that's a good thing.
We will be enjoying our turkey with all the fixins a little later on today, but for now we are staying warm and toasty watching the football game ( well that's what David and his mom are doing, I've got to get back to the kitchen).
Just wanted to drop everyone a note wishing you a very Happy Thanksgiving. May the Lord continue to bless all of you!
