Learning
So I haven't quite figured this whole blogging them out, but I'm trying my best..I was trying to add some photos of the birthday cake I made this past weekend onto this blog. Somehow that hasn't quite worked out and I created one just for the photos. The cake was for my manager's son's third birthday. I've been making his cakes every year so far. His first birthday I made a Sesame Street Big Bird cake and last year it was Thomas the Train. This week I'm also making two more cakes, one for a fellow c0-worker's baby shower and another for my mother-law's job. I really enjoy making and decorating cakes, actually anything to do with baking in like my passion. I've worked as an assistant pastry and pastry chef for two different restaurants, but I really enjoy doing it more on my own turf. I guess that's why for I've worked as a server for so long, definitely don't enjoy it but the money holds you to it. Anyway for now I enjoy baking on my own time.

You are incredible -- I am amazed at your baking talents. It was so special that you made my wedding cake!
Poor Kayla -- I wanted her to have an Elmo cake for her 2nd birthday, but I didn't even know where to start. Can you believe I've only ever made cakes from a box mix? So, I decided I was going to just make the box cake and draw Elmo on it. Of course, drawing (nothing artsy for that matter) is not my thing either so Kristen volunteered her husband to draw it. If Dan had been there, I would've asked him to do it; but he wasn't and fortunately, Tim was willing to give it a shot. If you lived close by, I would definitely be paying you to make cakes for our special occasions.
I definitely remember that you had a special talent in the area of the kitchen. I also remember the wedding cake as well. By the way, I thought Tim did a good job making Elmo look good. At least Kayla knew that it was Elmo. If I had done it, she would have probably said a monster or something!!
